SYNOPSIS
Before 1970 in the D.R.Congo, singing professionally was taken as a job for men. Abeti Masikini, the daughter of the Congolese political figure Jean Pierre Finant assassinated with the Prime minister, Lumumba in 1961, changes the history and gained success by bringing new melodies and style into the soukous genre despite rejections, failures and hate for being a woman and for her voice.
